Elizabeth Thompson is an environmental advocate and attorney with more than two decades of experience working as a lobbyist and legislative strategist on energy and environmental policy. She served in senior roles at the Environmental Defense Fund, including as Legislative Director and then as President of the Environmental Defense Action Fund, EDF’s lobbying arm, where she led advocacy on the Clean Air Act and other major environmental issues. Most recently she held an advisory role at the Clean Air Task Force and founded Tracking Change, a newsletter and research platform focused on philanthropy and how money moves in the nonprofit world. Through Tracking Change, she brings her policy and legal expertise to bear on the often-opaque world of environmental philanthropy, helping nonprofits better understand and navigate their funding landscape.
