Clean Tomorrow Statement on Congressional Passage of “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”

(Washington, D.C.) – Clean Tomorrow Senior Director of Policy Evan Chapman released the following statement in response to Congress passing the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”:

“With today’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, America is voluntarily abdicating leadership in the global energy technology race. The clean energy policies curtailed today are not partisan climate policies—these are American manufacturing and economic competitiveness policies designed to create jobs and incentivize innovation, to secure American energy independence and strengthen our manufacturing base.

“The choice on what comes next is stark. We can continue fighting partisan energy wars as we lose ground internationally in the race to power the future, or we can rebuild American leadership on bipartisan ground. The legislative history of clean energy proves it’s possible. The question is whether we have the political courage to try.”
