(Washington, D.C.) – Clean Tomorrow: Wright Confirmation Gives Hope for Continued Clean Energy and Innovation Investments 

Clean Tomorrow Senior Director of Policy Evan Chapman released the following statement on the confirmation of Chris Wright to lead the Department of Energy:  “Last month in his confirmation hearing, Chris Wright said that he believed that the “pathway to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lift up people’s quality of life is through energy innovation.” We agree.  

“At Clean Tomorrow we believe that American innovation is the key to unlocking a thriving American economy while reducing emissions here at home, and across the globe. While we must make sure that existing programs remain well run, and that DOE staff, the world’s foremost experts in the science, engineering and energy technologies, remain in place to administer these programs, there will be opportunities to build on the bipartisan investments and to make sure that we don’t run over the coming innovation cliff.
