Clean Tomorrow: White House Executive Order on AI Significant Boost for Clean Energy Deployment and Innovation

(Washington, D.C.) – Clean Tomorrow Senior Policy Director Evan Chapman released the following statement on the White House’s Executive Order on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure: 

“Today’s Executive Order on Advancing United States Leadership in Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure will help spur the deployment of new and innovative clean energy technologies and of the transmission infrastructure necessary to bring clean power to the facilities that need it most. 

“By taking advantage of federal resources and federal lands to deploy clean technologies — from enhanced geothermal to nuclear to carbon capture — we can build on the bipartisan investments of the past five years to develop and demonstrate innovative, American-made technologies. 

“Actions like this executive order — including by the incoming administration — will ensure that the United States leads the pack in commercializing cutting-edge energy technologies and will maximize our competitive advantage in both energy and AI.”
